Specification

Ceilings/walls to be 6mm (or 4.5mm) thick Acoustilux type 125S/250S/250D as manufactured by ABP Allboards Pty Ltd. Sheets to be manufactured from James Hardie's Hardiflex Sheeds/Versilux Wall & Ceiling Lining/Villaboard Lining. Sheets to be backed with certain thickness dibreglass or mineral fibre insulation underlaid with tissue paper or polythene.

Test Results

Reverberation chamber tests have been conducted by the CSIRO Division of Building Research according to Australian Standard 1045 and an extract of the organisation's report (test cerytificate AC 103) is tabled below. A copy of the certificate is available on request.

Sample 1

6mm Versilux Wall & Ceiling Lining perforated with 4.5mm (nominal) holes at 20mm centres diamond pattern mounted in exposed grid suspension system - panel size 1200 x 600 (nominal). 50mm fibreglass building batt loose laid behind panel and 350mm air space to the ceiling of reverberation chamber.

Sample 2

As Sample 1 but with 4.5mm holes at 12.5mm centres square pattern (corresponding to design 125S).

Sample 3

Sandwich panel of 50mm fibreglass building batt between two panels of 6mm Versilux Wall & Ceiling Lining perforated as in Sample 1.
